A group of 7 year 11 students recently took part in the Duke of Edinburgh expedition which is part of their Bronze Award. The expedition took place over 2 days with students having to navigate themselves from HTHA to Raywell campsite on day 1 and then from Welton to Bishop Burton on day 2.
In addition to the walk, students also had to demonstrate their ability to set up their own tents and cook their own meals using a camping stove.
Despite the extremely wet weather on day 2, all students successfully passed the expedition part of the qualification and are well on their way to achieving their Bronze award which is a recognised qualification with employers and colleges throughout the country.
Congratulations to all of the students involved!
