This half term, the year 11 students have been competing in two competitions. The first was to see who could watch the most GCSE pods and the second to see who could complete the most math questions on Hegarty Maths. The winner of each competition chose a prize worth a massive £100. Ten £10 shopping vouchers for the runners up were also up for grabs.
It was great to see most of the year 11’s getting involved with this and upping their use of both revision resources. The prizes available were a great incentive but starting revision early is a great way to boost confidence, embed knowledge and prepare for exams, so even those wo didn’t claim a prize this time around will still reap the benefits.
This half terms winner of the GCSE Pod competition was Gabriel N who watched an impressive 663 pods between Monday 16th September and Monday 21st October, he was followed closely by Aiden T.
The winner of the Hegarty Maths competition was Alex W who spent 24.1 hours using Hegarty Maths in only 5 weeks! The runner up for this competition was Morgan M.
The same competition will be running next half term. It would be great to see some different names achieving prizes. For all those who competed this time, well done and keep up the hard work.
