Enrichment

At Hull Trinity House, we know that beyond the classroom learning experiences are essential to a students’ education.  From the moment our students walk onto our academy’s site, students are exposed to various opportunities that broaden their understanding of the wider world.

To enable each student to engage in a wider society, it is crucial that we as an academy provide various opportunities for our students to thrive.

Our enrichment programme offers a wide variety of activities for students to get involved in.  Attendance at these activities is celebrated through our rewards system and students can earn a pledge for regularly taking part in enrichment opportunities.

We offer an extensive range of extra-curricular clubs which are open to all pupils.  Subject areas run their own after school activities designed to enthuse and engage students as well to develop a broader understanding of the knowledge taught.  Our new performing arts club is extremely popular and plans to run two school productions each year.  We have a wide range of sports clubs which are extremely well attended.

Examples of enrichment activities are shown below, these change on a termly basis:

  • After school clubs
  • Duke of Edinburgh Award
  • Poetry by Heart
  • First Story
  • Representing the academy in a sporting event, playing in the local school league
  • Tall Ships
  • Paris Trip
  • Battlefields Trip
  • Ski Trip
  • Watersports Trip

In addition to those sorts of opportunities there are a number of other ways students can become involved in academy life.

  • Officers
  • Anti bullying Ambassadors
  • Peer mentors
