Today we hosted our annual careers fair, with many local and national agencies in attendance, having backgrounds in further education, apprenticeships in business and trades, the Forces, and naval establishments.

It was open to all years, from Y7 to Y11, with each year group taken down to our Zebedee Theatre to spend an hour going between the stalls to speak to advisors, as the students were encouraged to ask a range of questions to help them broaden their perspective of the careers that are available, and the routes available to take them there, helping to shape the choices they’ll make during their education through GCSE and post 16 options.

The students responded incredibly well to the event, lots of great questions overheard being asked, and receiving sage advice in return. We received great, positive feedback from the career collaborators, remarking that the students were professional and engaged.

At this stage in their lifetimes, which will have just been a fraction of their working life to come, as staff at Hull Trinity House Academy, we thrive to ensure students get the most out of their education and extra curriculum events, to ensure that they are going out into the world as their best selves with an arsenal of skills at hand, to hopefully allow them to achieve great things alongside the potential of earning well, which in turn will allow them to enjoy much more of life.

Of course, we have many more upcoming career events lined up, with an Army Elite Day for Year 10s and interviews for Wilberforce College, hosted on-site for Year 11s, just this week alone. The students can always book an appointment to have a chat with our internal careers advisors.
